As you browse the internet, your browser saves some data from the pages you visit to a "temporary files" folder on your device.  This is known as caching.  While caching helps run the internet as we know it today, from time to time an issue can arise from an old or corrupted temporary file and it can become necessary to clear these files out.  This guide will walk you through the process of doing this for a desktop or laptop computer.  Locate your browser below, and then just follow the instructions.

Apple Safari

At the top left of your screen click the "Safari" menu, then click "Preferences".
In the Preferences window click the "Privacy" tab at the top.
On this screen, click "Manage Website Data".
The new window that appears may take a few moments to load.  Once it does, click the "Remove All" button at the bottom left of the window, then wait for the process to complete.
When it is done, close the "Preferences" window, then click the "Safari" menu at the top left of the screen and select "Quit Safari".

Now re-open Safari and log back into Matrix.  You should be all set.

Google Chrome

At the top right corner of Chrome, click the "Three dots" button (  ), then hold your mouse over "More Tools" and select "Clear browsing data".
In the new window that appears, select the "Advanced" tab at the top right.
In the "Time Range" drop down menu, select "All Time".
In the checklist, check only "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files".  All other items should be un-checked.
Click the "Clear Data" button at the bottom right of the window.  You will know the process has completed when the "Clear browsing data" window closes.
When the process is complete, close all open Chrome windows (if you are on a Windows computer) or click the "Chrome" menu at the top left of your screen and then click "Quit Chrome" (if you use an Apple computer).

Now re-open Chrome and log back into Matrix.  You should be all set.

Microsoft Edge

At the top right corner of Edge, click the "Three dots" button ( ), then click "History", then "Clear Browsing Data".

In the "Time Range" drop down menu, select "All Time".
In the checklist that appears check only "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files".  All other items in this window should be un-checked.
Click the "Clear now" button at the bottom right of the window.
When the process is complete, close all open Edge windows.

Now re-open Edge and log back into Matrix.  You should be all set.

Microsoft Internet Explorer

At the top right corner of Internet Explorer, click the "gear" button (  ), then click "Internet Options".
In the Internet Options window, you will see a section for "Browsing History" near the bottom.  Click the "Delete" button in this section.
A new window will appear.  In the checklist, check only "Temporary Internet files and website files" and "Cookies and website data" .  All other items in this window should be un-checked.
Click the "Delete" button at the bottom right of the window.  You will know the process is complete when a yellow bar appears along the bottom of your screen that says "Internet Explorer has finished deleting the selected browsing history".
When the process is complete, close all open Internet Explorer windows.

Now re-open Internet Explorer and log back into Matrix.  You should be all set.

Mozilla Firefox

Click the "Clear Now" button at the bottom right of the window.
