Passkey authentication is a way to secure your online logins that relies on your mobile device rather than communication with that device.

By setting up a Passkey, your device stores a secret, secure code that is used in place of an MFA code that is sent to you via email or text message.  When you login to your Canopy MLS account an alert will appear on your device asking you to confirm that login – then you simply need to approve the login by entering a secret PIN or by using biometrics like a fingerprint or face ID.

While Passkey authentication will be enabled for Canopy MLS logins, your mobile device must also support this ability in order for it to be available to you.

Creating a Passkey using your mobile device does not require you to have a mobile number saved in your MLS profile, but it does require to you register your device with our login service.
