The Canopy MLS login service has been updated and now provides an additional layer of login security – the use of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) codes to prevent unauthorized access to your account.  What does this mean for you?

  • Your first login to the system will require you to use an MFA code in addition to your user name and password to be able to login.
  • For a short period after the update, each time you login to Canopy MLS, you will be asked to enter an MFA code.  This is known as a “challenged” login.
  • Once you have successfully logged in several times our login system will begin to recognize your device, and you will be asked to use an MFA code less frequently on that device.
  • Unrecognized logins, such as on a new personal device or in a new location, will require the use of an MFA code.  This prevents unauthorized access to your account by an attacker in a remote location.

If you would like to enable Passkey authentication using Face ID or fingerprint biometric security, please refer to this article that was recently run as a Matrix News Post.
