Safety Features in ShowingTime and Supra Explained

Feel confident and secure while carrying out your professional duties by becoming familiar with the Alert Feature in Supra and Showing Beacon in ShowingTime. Canopy MLS encourages you to explore the safety features and take full advantage of the added security they provide. Learn how to set up, enable and active the features.

 

Supra eKEY app Alert Feature 

Location: the bottom left of your Supra eKEY app. 

To activate: you must register and log into SupraWEB.  Click on SupraWEB for Agents and Register.

You must know: 

  • eKEY serial number located on the top of the home page of your Supra eKEY app.
  • PIN number that was issued to you when you signed up for the Supra service.
  • Association/MLS:  NC – Carolina MLS dba Canopy MLS.

Once you’re logged in, click on the eKEY Alerts link under Quick Links. 

   

Enable the service; agree to the terms and conditions; add the person that has agreed to be there for you in an emergency; add a personal note; save.  

Important step:  click the update button on the bottom center of the Supra eKEY app.

Send a message to your emergency contact person:  press and hold the Alert button on the Supra eKEY app, bottom left.  The button message will change from Alert to Sent and will buzz under your finger. 

If you have an Apple Watch, the Alert feature may be paired with your watch and work discreetly in unsavory circumstances.  The Apple Watch will also open a key container. 

 

ShowingTime Beacon

Location: at the bottom left of the ShowingTime app.

To activate:  click the blue bar “Start Showing Beacon” and a­­dd your emergency contact person’s name and phone number. 

          

                               

Select the Timer Length.  If you need to add time, select the 5+ button.  When the timer expires, a message with your name, phone number and location will be sent to your emergency contact unless you end the time.  If you have finished your showing early, End Timer.

In case of an emergency, you may click the blue bar “Send Showing Beacon Now.” Hold for 3 seconds until the message reads “Sent.”

Whether you prefer the Supra eKEY Alert Feature or the ShowingTime Beacon, practice before you need it and communicate with your emergency contact person to not opt out.
