10/23/2026 - Are You Keeping Privacy in Mind?

Recently, Canopy MLS debuted a new a new feature in the MLS – Media Privacy. This new privacy-focused option allows you, as a listing agent, to choose where your listing’s images are seen after your listing closes.

Want to restrict your photos from public display?  Edit your photos, and then choose which photo you want to appear with your listing.  Click the “three dots” menu button and choose “Make Permanent”, then save the change.

Want all of your photos to appear publicly even after the listing is off market? Simply don’t mark a photo as “Permanent”, or click the “three dots” menu button and choose “Remove Permanency”.

You can make this choice at any time you’d like – choose your permanent photo as soon as you first upload it, or come back up to 30 days after closing and make the change.

No matter which option you choose, all of your listing photos will always be available in the MLS for other agents to refer to.  This makes Media Privacy a perfect option for agents and homeowners – owners get privacy, knowing their photos won’t be seen publicly on the internet, while agents can still access images within Matrix. 

It’s a win-win!
