This reminder is from our policies on Reporting Square Footage in Canopy MLS.

If your listing has below-grade construction, the below-grade square footage and rooms must be reported as HLA Basement, Non-HLA Basement and Basement Level Rooms. If earth is adjacent to ANY portion of an exterior wall on that level, the entire level is considered below-grade.  HLA Lower, Non-HLA Lower and Lower Level Room fields are only used for above-grade construction.

Tip: If there is more than one level that is below grade you can select the “Basement” option in the Room Level field multiple times.
