According to the Lancaster County E-911 Addressing Department, Lancaster is the only correct city name to use for properties located in the 29720 ZIP Code. New listings input in the 29720 ZIP Code that erroneously indicate Indian Land as the city name will receive a compliance notice for violating Section 1(g) of the Canopy MLS Rules and Regulations which requires Subscribers to submit accurate listing data and to correct any known errors.

The Canopy MLS policy for the “City Name” field is to use the city in the physical address provided in the tax records, or the mailing address. The cities covered by a ZIP Code are found by using the Look Up a ZIP Code tool on USPS.com. Questions? Email [email protected].
