Have you ever worked as a Selling Agent on a transaction, only to later discover that some of the closing information entered into the listing wasn’t quite correct? Maybe you noticed a typo in the closing date, or a Close Price with one too many zeroes. In today’s busy market, it can be difficult to remember to go back to review your transactions to make sure everything looks correct.
Canopy MLS is making it easier for Selling Agents to review closing information. When a listing is changed to Closed in the MLS, the Selling Agent will receive an email notification, typically delivered the following day, containing key closing details for the transaction. This makes it easy to review the information without logging in to the MLS.
If everything looks correct, you're all set. You’ll have an emailed record of the MLS listing’s closing, and no further action is needed.
If you see something that needs updating, you can reach out to the listing agent to let them know. Listing agents have 30 days to update their listings after they change them to Closed.
