Are your buyers looking for properties with fixed broadband internet service?
A frequent suggestion to the Canopy MLS Support team is to improve the ability for agents to describe and search for listings with access to fixed broadband internet service. Listing agents should determine and describe the type of internet access available to the home in their listings because this is increasingly more important to potential buyers.
These three fields in the MLS system describe the availability of internet access to the listed property.
- Interior Features: Satellite Internet Available, Wired Internet Available
- Other Equipment: Cable Prewire, Network Ready
- Utilities: Cable Connected, Cable Available, Fiber Optics,
Both “Wired Internet Available” and “Cable Available” mean that the property has access to cable service, but may or may not be wired and/or connected to that service.
Also, Canopy MLS provides a “Utilities Provider Questionnaire” that sellers can complete to attach to the listing as a PDF in the MLS system.
